Hopethrives because of the energy and devotion of the members of our congregation. Here are a few of the people that help make our church community special:
"There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling, one Lord, one faith, one baptism. one God and Father of all, who is above all and through all and in all...The gifts he gave were that some would be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until all of us come to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to maturity, to the measure of the full stature of Christ."
Eph 4:4-6, 11-13
"You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's own people, in order that you may proclaim the mighty acts of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light." 1 Peter 2:9
Pastor Reggie came to Hope in 2011. He is a native of the area. He grew up in Mahtowa and graduated from Barnum High School. He attended Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN. After college, he went on to Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque, IA and graduated in 2000.
Pastor Reggie's first call was as the solo pastor of a two-point parish in Granville and Norwich, ND. In 2006 he accepted his most recent call to Elim Lutheran Church in Robbinsdale, just outside North Minneapolis, where he first served as the Associate Pastor and later became the interim Senior Pastor.
Pastor Reggie's passions for ministry include preaching and planning meaningful worship, teaching, reaching out to the community and connecting with the youth. He is excited about the possibilities of sharing ministry with the members and friends of Hope Lutheran.
Wendy began working at Hope in 2000 as the youth director. In 2007, she completed her Associate in Ministry degree, specializing in youth and families, and accepted a call to Hope Lutheran as our Director of Family Ministries. Wendy has an infectious energy and is not afraid to tackle anything, including many things at one time. She has a great rapport with youth and parents, and is involved with the community, giving leadership to many programs addressing teen and family issues.
